In a few weeks I will buy another iMac. I'll have to install
Boot Camp/Windows for some Win programs.
Now I don't want to buy Vista (£100) and then a few months later
pay again for Win 7. Is it possible to use Win 7 RC until then
or will I get problems and lose much time...?

Many are running Windows 7 already with only a few problems here and there

If you use MRoogle to search on Windows 7 you will find plenty of threads describing the installation and troubleshooting

That's what I meant when I wrote:

... ;)

Does Boot Camp accept Win 7 RC?

It isn't as straight forward as the current BootCamp installs for XP or Vista, but it is still pretty easy. Basically you start the BootCamp setup as if it were a Vista install, and move on from there with the Windows 7 bits. Before you start, make sure you have all the BootCamp updates including the x64 stuff, and I think the most recent version is 2.1. Check your Apple updates or the Apple Support website for the most recent bits. This is the link that I found for what I think is the most recent:

This guide is a fairly good walkthrough of the process:

Also, if you are using a MacBook Air (or just don't want to use a DVD-R and have a flash drive large enough):
