I am having no luck setting up windows file sharing on my G5 running 10.3.3 to that a Windows XP machine inb my lab can access it. I've turned Windows file sharing on, set the appropriate priveleges for my accounts, and set the proper windows workgroup in directory Services. SMB is also turned on in Directory Services. Despite all of this, every time I try to connect to the G5 from the XP machine using the standard procedures, I get something like "Network Drive Cannot be Found...."

Any ideas...

I've tried all of that... about 20 times now :(

I checked that guide and can confirm that I have followed all of those instructions carefully. In fact, I've been able to connect the same XP machine to an iMac run Jaguar, without much trouble. Thus, I'm wondering if there is some sort quirk with my g5 that is causing me trouble. Could I be having permissions problems of some kind? are there any prefs I can trash that could fix the problem. I'm really stumped.

Thoughts?
