I've been trying to figure this out for a long time.

For lack of a better example, check out this myspace and scroll down to the video that should play under the music section.

Firefox tells me that "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." How do you get movies like that to play? I run into sites like this all the time, and I cannot seem to find a solution.

I have WMP 9.0, the latest for Mac OS X.

Load the page and see what happens after a minute or two. I did and it actually *did* play for me. But it took more than a minute to buffer or whatever, and there was no sign it was working until it actually did start playing. Which is frustrating, because that's a long time to wait, and yet it's working, so I don't know what to change to make it work faster! :(

I tried waiting about 5 minutes while the page loaded in IE. It still didn't work. Does anyone have WMP Player from flip4mac? I searched google and found that, but it still doesnt play videos like that in the brower. It does play wmv videos in QT, which is amazing.

Eeep? IE??? I'm in Safari 2, sorry. I lost IE when I got Tiger and never looked back. :D

Flip4mac does play in the browser, as far as I know -- it doesn't have its own browser thing. It just allows QT, which already plays in the browser, to play WMV in the browser. It has a trial version:

It's worth looking at... I don't personally have it, but many people here swear by it. :)
