OS X process for extracting a game from far files?

I've downloaded a historic trading simulation and extracted the files several times. it comes in 12 pieces and they all have a different folder. I've taken all the far files and put them in one folder but they won't open the file. I've clicked on the first files with no avail. Says file is not supported and not a far file. Does this mean they're corrupted? Is there another option I'm not using? Other than buying the game

Other than buying the game

You should ALWAYS buy the game, if it is available to buy. Stealing isn't right and reduces the chances of sequels/updates.
