Hello everyone,

For the past day or so, I've been noticing that the proces pmTool consistently is utilyzing 5-10% of my iMac G5 2.0Ghz's CPU. This occurs even when the computer is idle, and for the internal fans are now audible all the time, albeit not that loud, it's just different from before.

The environment here is 3 users all logged in at once using fast-user switching, although I have logged out 2 of them prior to posting this message.

Please advise on the purpose of this process, and what's going on with my new baby :) I'm a switcher btw, so I apologize if this question is shall we say, less than sophisticated... still learning the platform.

Thank you

pmtool is part of Activity Monitor :D You can ignore it when trying to figure else what else is using up CPU on your system, because it's only there when you're looking.
