I need to upgrade the single processer in my g4 to a dual processer (1.6 at least).....can someone tell me the best place to buy...and what i might pay?

macsales.com is great for that, and they have an easy system of determining what will work in your computer.
Then you are probably looking for a dual core G5...but I don't know if there are any upgrades from G4 -> G5 available

It is not possible to upgrade a G4 with a G5 processor. OWC (macsales.com) sells Sonnet upgrades, as well as other brands as well.
