Is it possible to change the heat sync thats on the Processor of my powermac? Its a G3 Powermac 400MHz. (Blue and white).

Its just i have always prefered to have a fan/heat sync combo as opposed to just one.

I am not asking if it needs it or not, I'm just asking if its possible, and if so, what size?

Do you mean heat sink.
There are loads of fan and heat sink combinations sold for use in pc's - I'm sure one could be modified to suit. You need to make sure that you have good contact between the heat sink and the chip (possibly using thermal paste to help), and that the fan voltage is correct - is there a suitable set of pins available on the logic board that you can use, or are you intending to spur off a disk drive cable? Fans are available with 5v and 12v motors, and some odd video card fans operate from 3.5v. Check the available voltage before selecting and ordering a fan.
But what is wrong with the way Apple designed it?
