Product Red sport band G2 vs G3, help please!

Folks I know there are several photos of these two dotted around the forums but depending on the lighting, and comments I’ve read, either:

1) Both are the essentially the same or,

2) Gen 2 is a noticeably darker shade

So which is it..? 😅

I have Gen 3 but have always felt it’s a little bright for my taste. So for those who have both would you recommend G2 over G3 for a darker red or are they really so close that it’s not really worth bothering?!

Again I know this subject has been covered before but keeping track and comparing what’s been said and shown where was getting confusing!

I'd be curious to know this, too. I returned the red watch I had because I didn't like the orangey-tomato red strap. I'm about to try ordering the braided solo loop because it seems a darker red. Maybe.
