Profile Manager Users Can't Log into My Device *Invalid Username or Password*


We have recently set up a new Mac Mini running the latest versions of MacOS and MacOS Server. We are in the process of deploying profiles to a number of iMacs and are trying to get them enrolled in Profile Manager but we’re running into a problem with a number of users.


We run into an issue when we ask the user to go to the myDevices portal and enter their AD credentials. When they attempt to log in they get the error Invalid username or password. This doesn’t happen for all users, in our testing so far it’s happening maybe 50% of the time. The other 50% can log in successfully, and download the profile without an issue. For users with problems we’ve verified they have Profile Manager turned on in the Server app and remote management box is checked. We pull our users from Active directory and with 1 of the failed users we have fixed the problem by resetting their password to the exact password they were before. All others however still get that error even after resetting their AD password.


OD appears to be syncing fine with AD as a password change to an AD user account is reflected almost instantly in OD. Any advice or ideas would really be appreciated. Thanks.
