Hi,

I'm trying to profile an application to find out where most of the time is spent but all I get is timing information on system libs & no info at all for my code.

any idea what is wrong? I tried all the obvious project settings with no luck.

Is there a guide/tutorial for using the profiler?

thank you,
Nikos.

Guys I need some help - please...

Has anyone profiled an iphone app?

Is there a guide somewhere I can follow?

The instruments docs are pretty useless...

Cheers,
Nikos.

Thanks - I'll have a look at it.

The problem is that in the dialog shown below the 'Self' column is empty when I profile my app. I get data on 'Total' & can see all the Library functions but nothing else.

I guess my app has to be built with certain flags to enable instrumentation. I tried almost everything but cannot figure it out...:(

I'll keep on trying... thank you!
Nikos.

There's a command hidden somewhere in the Shark documentation on reading in app symbols and library symbols. Let us know if you find it.
