Whats the best way to rip my own CD´s to ALAC in Big Sur.
Im not planning to play back via the Music app on the MAC but to have on a network player
 
I use dBpoweramp CD Ripper - not with ALAC but with FLAC and I have never had any problems with it (https://www.dbpoweramp.com).

The screenshot below shows the main screen using Apple Lossless.

XLD. Absolutely fantastic.
How did you get the 64 bit version? I have a version which is only 32 bit and the newer one comes bundled with ad ware so I'm staying away from that.
