Sup Fellas,

Just had my Iphone replaced at the store because it was crashing and somewhat slow. After running a test he told me what programs I had downloaded which were making the phone crash. Does anyone know of a program you can load on a Mac that would do the same thing?

WHY !

any program that would monitor crashes, would take up resources = cause more crashes

There is no need for an App to indicate if your iPhone is crashing. Surely, the fact that the phone is crashing is indication enough:D

Seriously, if your phone starts crashing, it's 100 to 1 that it is the result of a recently installed App. In order to check this, just delete the latest one/s and if the problem is resolved - there's your answer.

I'm sure he wants it purely out of curiosity. Much like I wouldn't mind having a look at it. The genius bar has some other programs that I woulnd't mind playing around with, like testing the battery.

Who said anything about resources? The software they use is on a mac (I think) and not on the phone itself. So who cares if it uses resources, its using them on the computer.

Also, your phone does save crash logs each time it crashes and the app you're probably talking about (app being on a computer) probably just downloads them and shows them. It also saves critical logs and the amount of times its crashed etc.
You can get a lot of information off it you're jailbroken and using SSH. Read up on it.

was you iPhone JB?
If not, it's easy to elliminate the problematic app, since only one app runs at a time...
In addition, such problems usually show up after downloading new app...
