Progress bar after entering log in credentials instead of before it?

I upgrade to yosemite and I have Filevaut2 encription on.

When I start my macbook air it doesn't show the progress bar until I entered my username password.

It occurs like in this video:

I know that in Yosemite the bar should be like this:

I dont understand why my progress bar appears after entering log in credentials and not before. I presume it may be related to file vault being on.

Is it any chance to have the progress bar at the begining and not after entering the password? On Maverics you entered the password and it instantaneity load the desktop (even file vault was on), in Yosemite now you have to wait watching that progress bar..

Anyone else with file vault 2 activated is experiencing this issue?

Mine does it just like the (first) video: the progress bar starts after I log on.

That's how it should be though, right? I mean, how can it start booting until I've authenticated and unlocked the drive which is otherwise encrypted? I'd be concerned if it booted any other way.

Thanks for showing it in the video which makes it easier for me to explain how mine boots up. As shown in the first video thats exactly how mine boots up too. I dont know if this is good or bad but yea this is how mine does too.

It is because FileVault is on.

When FileVault is on, the EFI will request your password so that it can unlock the drive. It then starts the OS booting which turns on the progress bar, and passes along your authentication. Once the OS has booted, you don't need to enter your password again (since you already did on the EFI screen).
