Hi,
I have installed Windows 10 on my iMAC using Bootcamp because I want to share/extend a screen from the work laptop (running Windows 10).

Everything seems to work in Windows but when I go to enable "Project to this PC" all of the options are greyed out and I can't do anything. I have already tried the following "fixes" without success.

Turning on wi-fi.
Installing the wireless monitor driver.
Configuring "Do not allow this PC to be projected to".
Installing Windows 10 Home and Pro - not at the same time.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Cheers,
M

Thanks for the reply. They are both on private networks.
I’ve seen a video on you tube where it works perfectly and I followed it to the letter. The only difference is that the “projecting” options are all greyed out and it say “This device doesn’t support Miracast etc”. I have checked using DxDiag and it shows as supporting with DCHP

I just checked the Miracast again. The “System Information” states “Miracast: supported with HDCP”.
But under “Display Devices” it shows as “unsupported”.
Is there any way to change this?

Have you checked the NdisVersion of your network adapter on each computer? Apparently it must equal 6.40 or higher.

Open Windows Powershell and enter the following command.
Get-NetAdapter | Select Name, NdisVersion

Which iMac are we talking about? If I'm not mistaken you need at least a 2015 for this to work.

The NdisVersion is 6.30 - the place I looked suggested that this was ok -https://www.ghacks.net/2017/04/20/find-out-if-your-windows-pc-supports-miracast/

It’s a 2019 model.
