So just this Saturday I purchased a brand new 24" Aluminum iMac with Leopard. When I got home I turned it on and noticed that a sound is coming from the lower portion of the iMac, it sounds like an old video projector running
. I ran TechTool Deluxe (came with AppleCare) and it says there is an error with the VRAM. I restarted the iMac and still nothing. I called Support and they said to take it to the store.
I was wondering if this is a common issue and if there is a way to fix it without having to go to the Apple Store. It would be nice to fix it at home and get it over with, of course... I don't want to void the warranty after paying for AppleCare
Thanks
