I have been very disappointed with version 15 of Safari.
Here's one proof of how annoying it is. It happens when I type and suddenly -- boom -- delete, add and can't type anyomore!

Version 15.4 (17613.1.17.1.13)

And there's more to come...I just need to put time to record it.

I'm switching to Microsoft Edge until they fix this. If it wasn't for the easy password and user management profile feature, I would have left this sorry excuse of a browser. It reminds me of Internet Explorer!!!!!#R$#@$#

Anyone else have problem?

Safari version 15 is a piece of crap, borderline unusable for me at least.

You should really try Brave.

Edge have a nice ability to stack tabs though.

Well... I am not sure why, but Edge is significantly slower on Mac than other Chromium-based browsers.

Are you having an issue with autocorrect?

Try the Chromium "ungoogled" version? Really fast here;
or here;
Click the red "eliston-chromium" text Once, then the red version number after the yellow "Current version:" text.
or here;
Note that the "ungoogled" versions are not "sync" enabled. They will work with the extensions you install using a "sync" version, but you cannot install stuff from the Google app store as they are "ungoogled" and have that and any other Google-related function removed.
Sync versions are available at the Woolyss site shown above, notably the Developer's latest version by the Chromium Authors. This site also has Windows and Linux versions, if that is what you use.

I don't think so. When I type on the Edge address bar and anywhere else on Twitter, per my example, it is fine.

Here's another problem with damn Safari

Recordit: Record screencasts fast & free! with GIF Support!

I was trying to type 'russia' and it just won't let me type it. Is it because Safari is taking a political stance and #standswithUkraine? It just won't let me type it!

No problem in Microsoft Edge.

So I don't think that it's the spellchecker, right?

there
is your cache cleared on Safari?
in the menu bar atop i safari, in developer tools, *if visible, activate that tab in preferences.
that speeds up tings on my 2010 MacBook air, Mojave.

I don't have this problem in Safari, but my autocomplete doesn't look like that.

Thanks but that's not a solution either. Why? It's because, I need cookies and can't bothered to constantly login.

i know, that is an hinderance, what i like about Firefox is one can clear cache and keep data.
My peeve is that Safari wont sync tabs on an ipad from a Mac, that is more chance than science,

iCloud sync is broken for me as well. On my Mac at least. I can open iCloud tabs from my Mac on my iPhone, but not the other way around. It doesn’t even show the option for it in the Safari settings (bottom right corner of the “home page” anymore)
Monterey has randomly switched on and off settings on my Mac anyway. One day the keyboard was different and so were Touch ID settings. It’s a mess right now. Can’t wait to see how I’ll be let down this year at WWDC. If we don’t get a bug fixing release this year I’m downgrading to Sierra.

I just noticed that the very same problem is also on a 2017 intel 13" MacBook Air. It is happening on both ARM and Intel based Macs. It's so damn annoying!!

The quality of Apple software has been steadily going down on Macs.

I'm not doubting your issue, but my Safari autocomplete appears in a separate window instead of the url bar.

I didn't have same issue with you. But I think this version of Safari is not good either. It seems to consume more battery-life and it eats a lot of CPU which makes my fans loudly sometimes.
