Proper Battery Use

I've recently replaced a faulty battery on my 15" Powerbook. My concern is preserving my battery through proper use. One poster had stated that charging my PB up to full then running off the battery until the warning message (reserve power) appears is a bad idea.

Likewise, I've read that keeping your PB charged via the AC adapter most of the time is also a bad idea.

So what's the solution? All suggestions welcome.

Why thank you. Perhaps I'm a bit too paranoid now but I'm looking for exact practices. I was going to just avoid letting my battery drain so low as to warrant the low battery error before plugging it in to the AC adapter.

This sound reasonable?
