Without anything happening each few minutes the current time shifts position with the display visible. The clock shifts because the proportional font causes the current time to appear wider or slimmer depending on which numbers are shown.

This wasn’t a problem as the display usually disappeared quickly. Now with always-on and the phone within eyeshot I find that some of these shifts can be really distracting.

I’m sure I can set some global iOS font to fix this but I’d rather leave most of the phone as it is. Also, I have no widgets, so only wallpaper and Time/date, which will make the shifting current time more apparent.

Anyone else bumping into this? I would appreciate some setting(s) for the always-on display to remedy this.

edit: To me it is distracting because you think some new message/email/app must have arrived.
