can someone tell me some of the pros/cons of upgrading to an unlocked/jailbroken 3G from a 2G unlocked/jailbroken on tmobile?

i'm trying to convince my significant other that we should upgrade. i found two on craiglist for sale (a black one, and a white one) for $600 together. if we are able to sell our current 2G iphones for $200 each... the overall cost wouldn't be that bad, so what i'm trying to come up with are a list of pros/cons that i can present to him.

thanks in advance :)

In terms of features and hardware, I dont think its worth it to upgrade to the 3G version from the 2G.

The 3G iphone, as the name implies, has 3G data capability. However, it is not compatible on tmobile's network, so you will still be using EDGE.

The only difference I can see is in aesthetics.

If you really need an upgrade, I would save up money for the 3GS.
Because the 3GS' hardware yields improved performance and speed

People often ask why I still have a 2G then I try to explain to them I'm on T-Mobile but they often don't get it.
