Protecting iCloud

I'm hearing a lot about celebrity iClouds being hacked and all of their photos getting spilled out to the internet. Do you guys have any advice on how I can keep my iCloud safe, and how it's even utilized? I'm still a newbie to it tbh.

Four words: "Enable two factor authentication".

Yes, it does add a level of complexity, but if your online presence is at all important to you, just do it.
