Hi All,

I've been lurking around these forums for the past month :)

Well after using an 14" 1.2ghz ibook g4 for the last 3+ years, I finally decided to indulge! I ordered a 15" 2.2ghz MBP from the apple online store last week and it arrived today! I couldn't be happier - no dead/stuck pixels, no yellow screen :) Just pure awesomeness. It is such a sexy machine.

It felt like Christmas this morning! I decided to work from home today so I could wait for the UPS man. The UPS man came by around 10am... but I had to resist opening the package, I had to finish a report by noon. Finishing my report while staring at that box was pure torture. ;)

Now I'm just waiting for leopard...

Just thought I'd finally say hello and announce to the world how much I love my MacBook Pro! ^_^

Agree with you on that one mate!

When I got mine I couldn't stop staring at it. It really is a gorgeous machine and pictures really don't do it justice. I still love looking at it from different angles to see how the light reflects off it.

Hell, I can't walk past it without slowing down and just wanting to touch it so I can feel that smooth aluminium on my fingers. The only problem is that I'm paranoid I'm gonna scratch or drop it. I always wash my hands before using the keyboard - I wanna keep that baby clean and spotless.

And people who try and touch the screen with their greasy fingers are smacked away straight away! :D

I got my MBP last week and let me tell you its awesome. I got thE 17 2.33ghz refurbished and I held my freinds HP 17 incher and It did not feel bulit as strong as my MBP. Congrats not to many positive post on hear
 
congrats on the purchase and wish you a lot of fun with it...

on a side note how did you survive working (writing your report) while staring at the box:eek:

that truly must be torture for a Mac user:D
 
Congrats to you; I just ordered mine at the end of last week (too cheap to pay for leopard to get shipped seperately :)).

Its due to get delivered sometime next week; this week is going to drag on *forever*! I just hope I have the same luck as you with the perfect machine on the first try.

ps - and a "Hell Yeah" to you, Neutral Gamer.
 
Just got mine, booted straight into the Leopard DVD and was up and running with a configured airport extreme, iLife installed and all updates applied in under an hour flat!

I love this thing :D

Looks quality, works quality and its QUICK.

Love it :eek::D
 
Congratulations!

I've recently been debating whether to buy a MB or MBP. Now I think I made up my mind. :)

Cptpower i understand you i ordered a MBP 17" and since im getting the hi-res screen it might take 2 weeks.Cnat wait to have it in my hands

It's a go for the MacBook Pro...but..

Just put in an order for a MacBook Pro 17"... but can you experts share light on some rumours that there might be a new look and faster processor for the MBP sometime near future?

The rumors suggest that for february apple may be updatign the macbook pro.anyway i place the order on my 17" today(160gb 7,200 and high res glossy screen).

Welcome to the MacBook Pro Lovers Club. I got mine when SR was added. No complaints. Loaded Leopard on launch night. It's great!

well, I guess I really lucked out with ordered the base model with no upgrades then, cause mine was already shipped out from California and is already in Winnipeg. Should be in Calgary by the end of the day, and on my desk by tomorrow afternoon :D

Hope any kids that come to the door tomorrow night aren't expecting me to answer and give them candy; I'll be too busy playing with my new toy :)
