PS2 Networking

Not sure if this is too far fetched, but here goes.

I have my Mac mini connected to my network using AirPort, so naturally the Ethernet port is open. If I were to connect the Ethernet port on my Mac mini to my PS2, would I be able to share the wireless internet connection to the PS2? Sorry if that's a little confusing, but is this possible?

Ummm. The ethernet plug on the Mini in an input from a cable modem/router...not an output, I think. You could though run an ethernet from the cable modem/router to the PS2 and it will work fine ....thats how I have mine hooked up.

I would do that but all I have is an AirPort Express connected directly to my modem so this is not an option. Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

search the forums... there is more than one thread on this, but i could be thinking about xbox, but it is basically the same deal.

Basically yes you can. There is no such thing as an input or output Ethernet port! It's intrinsically bidirectional.

You need to connect the PS2 to the ethernet port and turn on connection sharing from Airport to Ethernet on the Mac. Then you need to setup the PS2...
