OS X PS3 Controller on Mac - Joysticks not Calibrated Correctly?!?

Hi guys, I'm using a Ps3 controller via bluetooth on my mac and am having trouble playing games in steam. The Joysticks don't seem to be calibrated correctly (buttons work fine). My character will just move in one direction indicating the left joy stick is not calibrated correctly. No problems using it on a ps3 or playing Dirt 2 outside of steam.

Has any one encountered this?

I use my PS3 controller to play Bioshock Infinite. Sometimes my character just spins or like you goes left slowly. I just pause and start, pause and start, and it fixes it.
