I've setup a pscx reloaded in wine so I can get the enhanced graphics, but the plugins ive installed (lilypad and the default one) wont connect to the controller. Yet I have a bluetooth driver installed for it in OSX.

What do I need to install in wine to get it work?

Wine isn't really controller compatible as it can't directly map HID. Grab one of the controller to keyboard mappers like GamePad Companion etc.

It all depends what the Windows software is using... some Windows software can use gamepads and joysticks fine on OSX through Wine, but many cannot... Hansr's recommendation of a mapping utility can work around many issues.

Thanks for the swift reply. I take it then I select keys in setting up my game in wine such as A for Cross B for circle etc... then map these using that software?

Do you have any software you would recommend other than game companion so I don't have to map keys?

talking about the software your actually running... Wine has added some support for HID in OSX and many games have no problems using USB controllers (bluetooth theoretically, but I don't know)... but I mean it depends on how the game is coded. PSCX is probably using some method thats not currently compatible with joystick support in Wine on OSX, but since thats the software you want to use... there is not much you can do about it until Wine gets better... or just map the keys yourself as a workaround

Here is a bug report detailing some of the issues
