PS3 to Mac Pro 3,1 to interface - moving sound

So is it possible to get the digital OUT of my playstation 3 to go into the digital IN of my mac pro and then back out from the Mac Pro through my audio interface (Desktop Konnekt 6)? I know it is, but I'm trying to figure out how to do it without loading up Logic and record enabling a track =/ (Actually that's the only way I can imagine doing it and haven't tried yet)

Ideas?
