Received my device from UPS around noon. Had the left side refuse to charge and slide down to 16% in minutes. Out of the box they were at 23% while the case was sitting at 65%. The right side seemed fully charged.

After more than 30 mins, the left side made it up to 75%.

I returned them and picked up a replacement. Exact same issue. You can see below.

After all that time and still at 75%? I’ve tested it on firmware 353 and 357, both are problematic leading to no fast charging and extended charge times.

Ya know, a little detail might just be a little helpful!
One guy says it's a "massive battery firmware issue". You say it's a "weird" thing.
Mine charged just fine.
They’ve been on 25% for past couple hours, I’ve been using them the whole time. The percentage doesn’t go up when I put them in the case.

For me it does, eventually, but it takes over an hour to hit 100%. I got them replaced and the new pair have the exact same issue. Battery on the left side. I’ve tracked charging from first out the case and it was bumpy, with the left always trailing, took over an hour to hit 95%.

There is no issue using them and the battery lasts as advertised. But the battery is very strange. No issues on my 2s.

I have a ton of screen shots to show the irregular charging but this is kind of the trend:

The case drains fast too. Drops to 50% charging the pods, once.

I suspect a lot of this is hidden because the UI merges both pods to often provide a singular value. There’s definitely a lot of irregularities charging going on.

Mine seem to be working better now but not perfect. Looking back, it may have had something to do with the fact that my iPhone is on iOS 26 but my iPad is going to stay on iPadOS 18.

No, device and OS is irrelevant unless you only have one device and can't control for it.

So long as multiple devices report the same battery percentage (AirPods beams that info to any devices signed into your iCloud account), the OS will be controlled for (we can remove it from the equation here). Regardless, even if it was an OS-centric bug, it's still bad. I can't wait around for 1.5h for these things to charge.

This sometimes happens to me with AirPods Pro 2. Wiping the stem and pushing the pod extra hard into the case clears up the problem.
