This is pretty interesting. On AMDs drivers page, they updated the drivers today. Surprising given that they have seemed to abandon 7,1 all together.

That's interesting, I wonder what is in those updates.

I am really curious if we ever will see W7900x GPU drivers for the 7.1 Mac Pro, I mean..it's not like the M2 Ultra is flying off the shelves in its Mac Pro guise, so I don't think they're taking away those sales. Most people who went M2 Ultra likely got the Mac Studio already or don't plan to upgrade to the 8.1 Mac Pro.

If they bring W7900X drivers along for macOS I’ll be happy.

I’m definitely not buying studio or the Fake Mac Pro. But drivers for W7900X would make me a bit happier.

What did they change with these out of interest? What we really need is more drivers in MacOS for latest GPUs.

I never use bootcamp drivers anyway in window's, always the latest from AMD or Nvidia depending what i boot with.

Probably just to update them because the previous ones were about a year old and certain games won't run on older drivers.

I tried booting up Diablo 4 and I have the original 580x and it wouldn't even boot up because the error I got was that the driver version wasn't supported. So I downloaded drivers from bootcampdrivers.

This is great for those in bootcamp with the amd mpx hardware. Some people like official version of drivers.
