If your recipients like mine want to add AppleCare+ to an Apple holiday gift you purchased, have them verify the purchase date. The date you purchased the gifts of New Apple items from the Apple store on Amazon is not always the true device purchase date. The device purchase date might be the date Amazon purchased the device from Apple.
Find the serial number of your Apple product
In the event the device past the window of opportunity to add an AppleCare warranty, a call to Apple Support will not help. Have the recipient return/exchange the device.
