PSA: Monterey 12.3 broke Automator combine PDF action

Apparently the Automator action relied upon Python. And since Python gone, the action no longer works.

there are some suggested alternatives here, but Apple really should’ve detected this beforehand (I.e., in terms of dependencies etc.)

Python 2.7 was removed from macOS 12.3, Python 3 is still present in /usr/bin/python3. Ar first run, you will be asked to install Command Line Tools, if they are not installed.
The combine pdf problem could be solved with an alias for the Python version Automator is looking for towards Python3.
alias python=python3
or
alias python2=python3
