I hope buying a OP3 from 2016 did not create issues.
If you haven't seen any fraudlent purchases by now, you're probably safe. Also if you used Paypal, it seems this is related to OnePlus's credit card processing system

OnePlus credit card info hacking, Huawei software back doors, and BLU spyware? A lot of smaller OEMs struggling with privacy protection.

Another reason I backed out of my 5t sandstone order. And could be another reason the US carriers nixed Huawei phones.
