Hey everyone,

The Verge posted an article about how not all USB-C cables are meeting the USB standards, and how Benson Leung a Google engineer has been testing various cables available on Amazon.

I thought that this would be a useful resource for all of us here as we prepare to receive out new Macbook Pro's.

Here is a list of cables that Benson Leung has reviewed and determined that are compliant with USB standards:

There is also a spreadsheet if you are interested in a more in-depth look:

No problem! Just trying to help everyone out, as I am sure I am not the only one looking for quality cables to use with my new machine when it arrives :)

Can I second this nomination even though I posted it haha

A sticky would probably help a lot of people out though, which would be neat
I second that. Mods please sticky this thread, this is valuable information for a lot of people.

Based on the spreadsheet linked, the last update was 2015

Is there a different spreadsheet with his 2016-2017 updates?

ps: Mods please sticky this thread. That's more helpful than it being a wiki.

I haven't found a more up to date spread sheet unfortunately, though he seems to update his Google+ pretty frequently with product links and his reviews linked on amazon.
