If you are running the GM, which is version 10.0.1 (14A403), you don't have to do anything, you are currently running the public release, which is 10.0.1 (14A403). The build number (14A403) is the critical piece of info.

GM == Public Release in every single way. The only time it doesn't is if Apple finds bugs in the GM worthy of fixing before release. This didn't happen this year.

Any two versions with the same build number are identical in every way. The only manner in which such builds can be out of sync is when there is a delta update which has gone wrong, and the GM was not a delta (like some of the 10's of MB updates we had), but was a couple GB. It's the full public release iOS image.

There is one thing you should do: In Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management, delete the beta profile unless you want to keep receiving future betas. You probably don't want to keep the beta profile, but if you do want to receive upcoming betas (e.g., 10.1), then keep it as is.

not true the GM is the same build number but when I go to review an app it says its a pre-release so can't, that means there has to be some sort of different from main one

I get the same thing on the GM 10.0.1 I installed Friday when I try to write an app store review as well.

This is probably a bug with the App Store. There is no difference in iOS.

Yeah, same here, removed the beta profile but still can't write a review. I guess we have to wait until the next iOS 10 update. Personally I almost never write app reviews in the App Store, so I don't care that much.

Apple probably hasn't flagged iOS 10 as a public release yet on the app store, should be sorted tomorrow I'd guess.

Anyone who downloaded today (not through PB or Dev) able to write reviews? I'm more curious about the fact that Apple might be able to distinguish a PB install even with the same build number.

I just tried accessing the new iMessage app store and it didn't seem to load any 3rd-party apps for me, only the ones provided by Apple. Restored my phone with the public release via iTunes and the store showed all the 3rd-party apps. Not sure if it's because if this though or if it was some sort of glitch.

Using Public Beta 10.0.1 (14A403) everything for me is now working. :) I think it was a matter of Apple updating the App Store.
