I was curious if anyone with the new 13in Macbook air who has Windows installed on it, could you try running the PSO2 benchmark and post how it performs? I plan on buying a either macbook air 13 or macbook pro 13 within a month (which one i get.. is going to depend on the screens once i see them in person at an apple store)

You can download the file here:
http://cc.pso2.jp/PSO2_CC.zip

I've read that PSO2 runs just fine on the 2011 Macbook air, but I'm curious to see how performance is increased with the HD4000 chipset.

if you need to change the settings, they are translated here http://bumped.org/psublog/pso2-the-character-creator-demo-is-up-plus-mini-guide/

Thanks! :D

Don't have either of those, but Ars Technica's run both models and has details. Get the pro. PSO2 relies a good bit on the CPU, and the Pro wins easily in that department.

Ah, thanks for that link. I've been looking for something like that the last few days. Good point about the CPU power, didn't think of that, and even though macbook pro has lower resolution... its screen is apparently higher quality in terms of colors... hmm

yeah going with the pro sounds like a better idea now. Thanks.

Still curious to see how PSO2 is running on the HD4000, for anyone else that's looking at this topic

i found this video, its an i7 and HD4000 overclocked, so i don't know how it compares to a macbook with HD4000, obviously macbooks are i5 and not i7

・i7-3770S @3.1GHz 4GB*4(1600MHz)
・Intel HD Graphics 4000@1.15GHz
・Win7Pro SP1 64bit

of course i don't plan on having macbook pro as a main gaming machine or anything, would just be nice to be able to play PSO2 on it until I'm able to build a new tower.
