I am a proud new owner of the Sony PSP but I would really like to put things on it like videos and music and photos etc... Intrestingly I have found that you can just drag and drop music and photos into a folder on the memory stick, but there is no sign of video which is what I want the most. Is there any FREE software on the market that lets you put videos on the psp. I have seen PSPWare and iPSP and PocketPSP but I don't think the asking proce for them is right. So to sum up, any free software for the PSP as said above or any tips to do it myself. Thanks.

James,

The video should be put into a folder in the root of your memory stick called MP_ROOT, and for mp4 video under the folder 100MNV01. If it doesn't exist you'll need to create those folders.

You'll probably need to resize it and/or recode it to mp4 format though.

For more info, a simple google (like you really should have done before asking) gives you the details : google on 'psp add video memory stick' and this is the first link :

http://www.methodshop.com/psp/tutorials/addvideo/index.shtml

Another link worth reading : http://psp.ign.com/articles/637/637459p1.html

Hope this puts you on the right track,

A.
