I’ve been wearing my self out trying to get Tencent games to add the supported resolutions for the new 11” iPad Pro, and 12.9” iPad pro models.

We may be seeing it soon, based on a email I received.

I’m furious after seeing a Galaxy S10+ release, then 6 days after it released PUBG adds full screen support removing the black bars.

The iPad Pro 11” has been out for over 4 months, and here we are with 9” inches of useable screen to play PUBG on.

I’ve had to hound this company on social media, emails, calls..

They must have the worst developers ever, I just don’t get it..

Maybe, the developers have done their research and found that the pro Line of iPads account for a minimal percentage of the devices used to play the game. Hence, they are being good developers by focus their limited time on issues that have the greatest effect for the maximal amount of users, the Company and the overall game. E.g. Like strategic deals with Samsung which likely have brought in a great amount of revenue.

Of course, it is a shame for you that you had to suffer to for several months while playing your free game. Suffer so much that you had to hound them down and waste their time - they must be thinking that they have the worst users ever, I bet that they just dont get it.

It happens. Hearthstone makes hundreds of millions in dollars in revenue and it took them until the following July to add support for the iPhone X resolution after it was released.

This is the exact reason we get the lack luster support we get.. Developers know that they can just push people around. And offer applications with no optimizations, because the average person doesn’t care ^^^^^

Hey guys, let’s buy the new iPad Pro with that fancy high resolution, but all of our games are ran at a standard 2048x1536 basic iPad resolution.

No one complained about it before, we will get the apps updated to support your non standard resolution around the same time the next generation devices come out! Rinse and repeat.

I’m all for optimization, I love to see a new update come out and my device runs the same application 15% faster out of know where. ^ this drives the computer industry, but I feel like mobile users don’t care?

Everybody cares about his/hers deviced being supported by their favorite game/app, saying different is just plain stupid. However, nobody forced people to buy a fancy new ipad with a fancy high resolution - i bet that if people even took a few seconds before buying to research they would probably know if their device was being supported or not. It is not an ucommon issue when new formfactors emerge.

Support will usually come eventual, however it is really hard to blame anyone but themself it they buy a device not commonly used for the purpose and the later find out the it is not supported 100% from day one. Every task cost money and has to be ranked according to importance, and support for this new fancy resolution in PUBG apparently wasn’t the highest ranking issue - other task were just found to offer a better return on investemt for the developers. The good news is that people are still able to play the game just fine with Black bars around it.

Well they are busy making the official Call Of Duty mobile game, which will be free to play and has the potential to knock PUBG and Fortnite off the top spots?
So is suspect their resources are in that currently, they’ll probably get round to it one day.

Different companies make all three of those games.

Just started playing this game and it's pretty fun. Pleasantly surprised at how well the controls are implemented for mobile. First match: 6 kills and survived for a while.

Can anyone tell me how to get an outfit on? Running around naked.

From March 27 apps submitted to the AppStore must be built with iOS 12.1 SDK to support XS Max and the 'new' iPad Pro resolutions. PUBG was last updated a month ago so their next update will bring full screen support. On a side note, Hearthstone was updated a week ago and finally brought full screen support for the Pro's. Wish Apple enforced this days and not months after the devices were actually released. :)

You earn BP, which is one of the game’s currencies. Once you earn 700 BP, you can buy your first Soldier’s Crate, where you usually get an outfit (or an article of clothing, like shoes, pants or a shirt).

Also, when you progress on the season (like reach Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crown and ultimately Ace), you earn season-specific clothes, like season 6 shoes, pants, jacket, etc.

Then there’s the Royale Pass, where you complete daily and weekly missions. As you climb the ladder there, you sometimes get outfits, but you get even more if you upgrade to Elite. You don’t have to upgrade, though.

Plus there’s gifts for signing in, killing zombies and more. Lots of ways to get clothes.

Oh, okay. My mistake. That’s surprising that the same team is doing both. I just figured Activision had their own team to create the game, but it makes sense to get the team that made PUBG Mobile.

Yeah like with Blizzard haveinf that Chinese dev make its mobile Diablo game.
Only three games I want on mobile, the new Rush Rally 3 our this week I think, Diablo and COD official games. Should be good.

It is a very fun game. It has its moments where you feel like your not playing a mobile game at all.

I survived the first few matches too. It gets harder though. Most I’ve killed in a match was 18 people. You get good at it, and there is nothing more satisfying than throwing a grenade in a open window to explode a enemy.

PUBG has just received “Full Screen Support”

The iPad Pro 11” and 12.9” native resolutions are supported.

What a difference! They finally did it!

Loving the new Evo Ground zombie modes (I’m level 17 in Evo Ground, after playing it obsessively). Glad they now support your iPad’s screen size.

Big difference, as I was practically playing on a iPad mini sized screen, and the rest was black bars.

GTA San Andreas updated to full screen support too nearly a month ago.
