Actually it was 3 days.

But not unusual when public release is imminent.

Some of the pre-release golden masters were even coming out less than one day since the last one.

I guess developers are used to it because this sort of thing has been happening for years.

If you are new to the public betas it is just something you will have to get used to.

And advice I would give is to download it as quickly as possible and as soon as you find out about it for each beta. If you leave it too long to update you could end up missing a few betas.

Many people missed a few golden masters because they didn't expect them to come out so quickly.

ok, but... 2days. 5 dropped on tuesday, today is thursday. i've been on the beta program a long time, just don't remember such a short span between releases (i've seen a patch happen quickly tho).

missing a beta's no big deal, tho (not that i've missed any)...

Releases so fast, it's hard to keep up :D

I agree, 3 days.
I installed the public beta when it became available on Monday - Dec 5.
Today, the 8th, we have beta 6.

Maybe soon the beta updates will be circular (no way to tell when one ends and another begins)

Anyway, the close releases often will signal a general release.

Going back quite a long time... before Apple would even dream of giving the unwashed masses a copy of an OS beta, they had nightly updates. Freaking NIGHTLY updates. Of course they were a lot more focused on the Mac back then.
