Publishing a book with Adobe InDesign. Please help

I am self-publishing a book through lulu, which I'm sure you are familiar with.

I would like to use InDesign instead of Word (for obvious reasons), but I'm having trouble importing the text.

Even if I make a text box on the Master, then copy and paste or import the text, it only appears on that one page.

The book is about 145 pages so I don't want to have to paint a text box on each page.

Any help (or links) you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

create text frames on the master. make sure they are linked if using spreads or more than one frame.

go to file - place and select the doc you want to put into the book

then hold shift when you click into the first text frame in the body of the book and it will auto-flow the text and create new pages and frames if needed
