Pulled over but not told if they are going to report me UK

Hi I have a question...

I recently got pulled over however they asked for my details checked the car was insured ect but never told me they are going to report me.

I pulled out in front of a police car now in my defence I missed it simple mistake however should be paying attention

Can people give me some advise as I am stressing about it...

What country did this take place? Ah, just noticed that the thread title mentioned the UK.

Are you a resident there, or a visitor?

Were you driving your own vehicle, someone else's vehicle, or a hire car?

"Pulling out in front of a police car"......yes, you most certainly should have been paying attention, in fact, as a driver, and entirely irrespective of what sort of vehicle you pulled out in front of, you should have been paying very close attention to your immediate surroundings.

If they were going to charge you they would have told you there and then I believe.
