I went against the recommendation of the iMac buyer's guide and bought a refurb last week tuesday after already waiting a week hoping for an update. I finally caved in and bought a 24" 2.4ghz for $1499. It still hasn't arrived yet and I'm pulling out my hair waiting for it. I've even gone and bought new furniture to compliment the Mac's style, as well as Adobe Design Premium CS3 Suite.

My first question is, I have many 3.5" HDD laying around and want to buy an enclosure for at least one of them. I found one on ebay called Frisby and was wondering if anyone had used one. It looks like it was meant to sit next to the alum imac design wise. I just don't want this thing to fry my drive(s). Are they pretty safe? Do they all work the same way just different case designs?

Here's a link to a pic of one.

They go for $30 or so after shipping on ebay. Is it worth that? I've seen enclosures for much cheaper, but this looks so good.

Welcome to the world of Apple... I agree it looks cute... I always look for Firewire connections... USB sucks huge it is so slow.

Thanks for the tip. I finally got my iMac today and it's perfect.

Why did I wait this long??
