I have been trying to setup windows xp on my macbook air for a while now im getting frustrated haha.
I setup a partition. i installed windows xp pro sp2, i pop in the leopard disk (i dont have the one that came with my MBA, im using a regular leopard 10.5 install disk) i try to install drivers and it flashes BSOD for half a second and reboots. what can i do? im losing all hope

well i tried something else, i extracted the apple folder in the driver folder of the leopard disk and ran instlaler so it only installed apple drivers, keyboard driver install failed but everything else installed, no BSOD, rebooted, bootcamp services is in the system tray, but it doesnt loook like any drivers were installed, internet doesnt work, trackpad doesnt work etc.... help me!!
update: i ran the bootcamp setup without installing broadcom adaptors... everything installed fine, sound works, graphics are little wobbly but i have resolution now, but keyboard functions dont work, trackpad click doesnt work, and no network adapter, i guess i NEED broadcom, but i installed it and got bluescreen, so i guess ill never run windows ?

What is most likely the case is that the drivers on the disc are unsuitable for your machine. Believe it or not, there are actually different revisions of the driver package included on the restore discs that come with various Apple computers as opposed to the retain discs. Try with the restore discs for your MBA; chances are good that you will have no issues. Since you don't have them obviously you will have to borrow them or find them elsewhere.

i see. Do you know if there is a link out there where i can download just the driver folder from mba disk? Or.. Is the broadcom issue just with xp? I was thinking of installing windows 7:)

Aren't they available (boot camp drivers) from Apple website?

perhaps i need to install bootcamp 2.1 update? the disk i am using is the first leopard retail, prolly has bootcamp 2.0. there are no drivers specifically for the MBA available for download on apple website i think.... funny cuz every manufacturer has drivers for their products online, does anyone know where i can find MBA specific windows drivers?
