In the iPhone forum, there is literally a thread for every topic you can think of. I would say the majority of iPhone owners are content, but be careful what you read that might influence your experience otherwise. I think it's an excellent device, but others may disagree.

Walked into my local Apple store, stated what I wanted (Space Grey, 256 GB, AT&T iPhone X) and one was brought out to me, paid for it and then went to set-up table, where the box was opened, device activated, etc.,etc., and about 3/4 of an hour later was out the door, fully-functioning new iPhone X in hand! Continued with set-up at home (plugging device into my computer/iTunes in order to add my music and photos, which I do not keep on iCloud) and then used it for a couple of days prior to preparing my iPhone 7 Plus for shipment to AT&T as part of the NEXT program..... Been very happy with the iPhone X and am truly delighted with it!

Hi! just got my iPhone x 2 days ago.
I realized when I saw some other iPhone X , when the user unlocks it, there will be purple lights at the notch blinking.
However, mine doesn't have the purple lights at the notch blinking but I am still able to unlock it with face id normally.
Any idea why? Why is there the purple lights?

What purple light? I do not have one or see one on my iPhone X Nothing blinks in the notch area when it is unlocking. Or maybe your eyes can see the spectrum of light it uses to scan your face???
