Hello, wondering if I can get some help. I am an old school user and believe on managing my own digital files and don't want a cloud based subscription. I have purchased many albums from iTunes and for some reason only some show up on my iPhone. I sync a playlist to my iPhone and regularly change albums. I have too much music to sync all to my phone so this is the method I like to use.

The only option I have is to delete the album from my computer to get rid of it on my iPhone. I do not want this option. If I want that album on my phone I will sync it, if I don't I won't.

Finally I also can't figure out how to turn off auto repeat.

Any suggestions here?

First, the easy version of your answer is iTunes Match for $24 per year which effectively puts all your music on the cloud for you to access anytime. Still keeps you in control of all your files. I understand you don't like subscriptions, but $2 a month for "I want this playlist today, download this" is a lot simpler than your current system and I find it personally worth it.

I assume your issue is purchased files are downloading to your phone when you don't want them to. So what I do is go to Settings -> Music, go to Automatic Downloads and turn that off, and then go to Downloaded Music and delete stuff I don't want. This might be specific for iTunes Match but I don't believe it is.

For auto-repeat, you scroll down on the Now Playing window (which makes little sense as it doesn't even look like you can, but you can).
