iTunes isn't recognizing my :apple:tv. Since it doesn't recognize the :apple:tv it isn't syncing any the content that I have on my :apple:tv. I'm hoping that a factory restore will solve this problem, but I was wondering what will happen to the content that I purchased on the :apple:tv. Is there any way of recovering it once I factory reset the :apple:tv? I purchased it using my apple ID so I received a bill saying that I paid for it. Any advice or suggestions would really mean a lot to me. Thanks

just had to do a factory reset on mime today and have lost a load of stuff - have written an email to apple and await a reply... Will let you know how it goes. Have heard of people getting it sorted successfully in the past.

so once you bought something you are only allowed to download it once? like... if i buy a movie, watch it, delete it, it wont let me download it again later? you only buy the right to download it that once?

apple will tend to add the files back to your download queue if you lost them due to product failure, accidental loss, etc. you should avoid deleting things on purpose unless you really don't want them, but as long as you tell apple that the drive they were on failed or something, they will most likely either issue you itunes store credit or put the videos back on your account.

not bad, but if they would institute what i was talking about it would make their service a lot more attractive. and size of the hard drive would no longer matter.
