Finally gave in to my return to windows i3 idea (In addition to ios devices)

Anyway keeping thi purchase inexpensive @349 U.K. pounds.
Decided Lenovo Idea Pad think it's 330 series.
I3 7100x
4 gig ram -one slot (8 gig would cost 80 U.K. pounds -not today)
128 ssd.

Quite happy with this nice laptop if and when I need a Windows laptop which I have done on occasion.

Any tips on which is the best antivirus these days.
McAfee pre installed -trial
Norton CD no drive.

Just updated widows from 1709 to 1803

Got to tweak over next few days.
Enjoy Dolby sound
Screen is clear though not FHD

Congrats! Good choice, IMO. I'm a fan of the Lenovo IdeaPads and a sucker for them when Best Buy has them on killer sales.

Regarding antivirus, I've had good experience with the default Windows Defender. I suggest adding something like MalwareBytes for an added layer of protection.

Thanks, nice return to Win10

Currently running McAfee 30 day pre installed trial ahead of installing norton subs 1 year provided with laptop.

Got MS Office installed+Dropbox etc.

Could make use more often than I first anticipated, maybe find a online course such as Excel to learn from home.

Maybe I'll find time to install ITIL Foundation Course work which I've been running some e-learning from this ipad 10.5
Thought I'l complete e-learning via ipad 1st then decide which device is best to sit actual foundation test.

Called Lenovo today their advisor kindly confirmed my idea pad can be upgraded from 4 to 8 meg if I purchase additional ram from a 3rd party retailer and ssd can also be upgraded if I ever exceed 128 gg.

Quite pleased I've got approx 70gb free after initial installs.

Depending on what do you, Windows defender may be enough. I also use Malwarebytes as a fall back. I've used Avast in the past and was happy with them, but for my windows installation on my MBP, I've stuck with Windows defender as its only doing a couple of things and I'm not surfing with it.

Enjoying finding Lenovo Win10 recovery usb creator via website as idea pad doesn't have a working tool via control panel.

Not that I except to use it, though since temp failed Asus laptop I thought it best to at least prepare this time.

McAfee since uninstalled -activated Norton 12 mths -seems to be running fine, not too intrusive.

Almost 110 GB unpacked to create Lenovo usb win10 recovery.
Lets hope I can delete these temp files from ssd and re claim some storage.
Amazing it only needs 16gb usb!

Cannon cloud print iphone app-I can view Dropbox files -print and scan

One Drive-displays error -'There is no data that can be displayed'
