Purchased on launch day, how come my receipt says July 8th Return Date?

I'm returning my Bumper because I don't like it, and because of Apple's whole case refund program...but I noticed, since it's on the same receipt as the iP4, they both say:

Purchase Date: Jun 23rd
Return Date: Jul 8

That's over a month, so why the extra time?

The standard return time for Apple.

They extended it because of complaints about the ip4.

I believe Apple follows the Julian Calendar. June, then July, and then August.
