Hello all. I have a 6 + and am on 8.4.1. All my itunes music purchases show up in my library on my phone so thats alright but I would like to see them sorted out by purchase date in descending order. Can this be done? Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.

I have been very disappointed with sorted playlists on the iOS version of Apple Music. I don't think you'll be able to set up this type of playlist on your phone.

My experience is that even setting up a smart playlist with any specific order on iTunes does not translate the order on your phone. For example, I set a smart playlist of "2015 release year" to find recent music quickly on my phone. On iTunes it is viewed in Album view and sorted by artist name. On my phone, however, it is random and jumbled and any sort of editing is not available. This is very frustrating as all I can really do is shuffle the playlist on my phone instead of finding specific artists and albums quickly.

Your best bet is to set up a new custom playlist on iTunes (not a smart playlist as you can't edit them on a phone) add all songs you want and then manually sort the purchases by date. At this point, all you can hope is that the iCloud Music syncs the playlist order exactly how you want to see it to your iOS devices.
