Hi everyone,

I want to purchase a digital camera in Japan and I am looking for some recommendations. I have no knowledge of digital camera what so ever (Yes, I am a n00b :p ).

Here are the features / cost that I am looking for:

- Small and Slim (Easy to carry around)
- Cost should be between 20,000 yen to 30,000 yen
- Anti-shaking ability (or whatever that feature is call)
- Night mode (a night mode that doesn't take 30 sec to take a picture)
- A respectable Brand
- Decent picture quality (more than 6 mega pixels will be great)

Here is an optional one:
- Preferably not available in Canada (The camera is for my sister as a souvenir, so she can show it off).

Any recommendations are welcome, and please let me know if this list is not doable.

Thanks in advance,
kalun

it may be a little more than you were planning on spending, but the 7.1MP Canon SD800 IS is a knockout camera. It has image stabilization, takes great shots in low light and is pretty thin. dpreview

Thank you for your quick reply. Though the price is a bit above my budget, I will definitely consider it.
