Purchasing advice needed...

Hey guys!

i recently had a scoot around the house and found a lot of items to sell totaling around £700/$1120.59. I would love to buy an iPhone and im really eager to buy one. Only trouble is... if i bought a 3GS now and a new iPhone came out in this summer im left with an old iPhone i paid top money for. If i hold on however... there might not be an iPhone this summer.

Bad times...

I'm in the same predicament.. but my suggestion.. wait till summer. If the 4th gen doesnt meet your expectations... you could possibly buy the 3GS at a slightly cheaper price, as it will still be there

I think you can be quietly confident we'll see a 4th Generation iPhone June/July time this year. A lot of people will be very shocked if there's no new iPhone! If you just can't wait you could always buy on Pay as you Go, when the new one comes out get the old one unlocked and sell, from what I understand this can be quite profitable seeing as they still can't get their iPhones unlocked in the US Just a thought.

sounds good but as a student im not made of money and id rather be secure than just making the payments but yeah i get where your coming from but that plan just isn't for me .

Just wait, Apple will be releasing a new iPhone. I'm 99% confident that they will. That 1% is there to save me from shame and looking stupid when Apple somehow doesn't release a new iPhone.

If you really don't know what to do with that $1000, just donate it to Haiti. This time I'm 100% confident.

There are a lot of sspeculations that it will be released between May-July.. There are even rumours that it will be released in April... but all of these are just speculation. But there is a very big chance there will be another generation out on the market this year

Apple doesn't say until a week or two beforehand. But annual events such as WWDC, needless to say they have it annually at San Francisco just before summer. The event we just had a few days ago, that was announced weeks before.
