I have an eMac where I have my main itunes library. I recently purchased an album on the eMac and wanted to transfer those songs to the iPhone. Problem is I don't have USB 2.0 on the eMac. If I purchased the album on the iPhone that is under the smae account as my main library will I be charged twice for the same album or will it download to the iPhone free of charge?

Youll end up paying twice I'm afraid. Suggest you burn the album to cd and then copy it onto whichever computer you use for synching and add it that way. Unfortunately Apple don't seem to realize that if you have bought something once you might want to re download it to another source.

Is that the same going the other way do you know.

Say I bought something on my iPhone, would it sync to my iTunes on my Mac or is it better just buying everything in iTunes on the Mac ?

Just to be clear, if you purchase iTunes ok your phone and the sync it to your mac, the tunes sync across. The OPs problem is the emac he keeps his iTunes library on isn't the machine he syncs his iPhone to.
