I am very happy with my new iMac 5K. But is it normal with purple corners at the bottom in angels? You see it if you have a black screen or a movie with black bars. Backlight bleeding is otherwise a non-problem issue.

You may find this to be IPS glow which is to be expected with this type of panel. Normally the glow is visible when viewing the screen at angles although you may experience some when looking straight on in worse cases. You will find some displays are better than others but it's a panel lottery and has been a problem for years, you'll have to decide whether you can live with it or not.

My computer is over 1 month old so I can not change it but I can live with purple tints in the corners when the screen is so free from light bleeding. I might have had a worse screen if I changed.

The most boring of this screen is that when I got back from my vacation today my 1200p screen at work looked like crap =)
